Travel warning as huge UK airport sends update about boarding easyJet flights

A major UK airport has issued an update for passengers who are flying with easyJet, which will affect flights starting this week. Manchester Airport explained that those checking in for easyJet flights will notice a difference in the terminal they must fly from.

In a post shared on social media accounts, including X and Facebook, the airport said: “Travelling with @easyJet from Manchester Airport?

“From Wednesday 15th January 2025, check-in for all easyJet flights will move from Terminal 1 Departures A, to Terminal 1 Departures B.

“This is located on the lower level of the terminal, next to the drop off forecourt.”

The announcement follows Manchester Airport’s changes to its terminals in September 2024, reports Warrington Guardian.

At that time, the airport revealed that all airlines would transition from Terminals 1 and 3 to Terminal 2.

This move is part of the airport’s £1.3 billion transformation program, set for completion this year.

During October and November 2024, 11 airlines relocated to Terminal 2, with additional moves expected to occur in 2025.

The airport has assured passengers it is providing updates to help them plan ahead, including making adjustments to car park or lounge bookings if needed.

Later this year, the airport’s brand-new Terminal 2 will fully open, meaning the majority of passengers will use the state-of-the-art facility.

The first phase of the new terminal opened in 2022. The second phase will double the size of the terminal and includes the addition of more than 25 new shops, bars and restaurants including Chanel, a Lego Store and the airport’s first Wetherspoon’s pub.

It will also add a new security hall, additional check in desks and an art installation made out of one of the airport’s iconic chandeliers.
