Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting in Cheetham Hill. Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a ‘firearms discharge’ on Ermington Drive at around 1pm last Friday, January 10.
The cul-de-sac was taped off by emergency crews as detectives and forensics attended the scene. No injuries were reported in the shooting.
Two suspects have now been charged in connection with the incident, with another man, 23, currently released on bail pending investigations.
Leevi Murray, 22, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and possession of a bladed article.

Vernard Murray, 26, of Cheetham Hill, has been charged with criminal damage and assault of an emergency worker. They have both been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates on January 15.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Our investigation into the firearms discharge remains ongoing, and detectives are continuing to build a case.
“We are working with partners to ensure robust safeguarding measures are in place, and additional patrols continue to be in the local area to offer reassurance to residents.”
