Two teenagers charged with murder of Kelyan Bokassa on Woolwich bus

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was stabbed to death on a bus last week.

A 15-year-old boy from Woolwich, and a 16-year-old boy from Plumstead, were charged with the murder of Kelyan Bokassa this morning.

The two boys, who cannot be named due to reporting restrictions, have been remanded in custody and will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later today.

Kelyan was on the route 472 bus in Woolwich when he was attacked just before 2.30pm on January 7.

Police were called to the scene in Woolwich Church Street, near the junction with the A205 South Circular Road.

Kelyan died shortly after medical help arrived. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Police arrested the two teenagers on suspicion of murder yesterday.

A 44-year-old woman was also arrested for assisting an offender. She has since been released under investigation, police said.
