Police are urging the public not to approach a man who has been reported missing in Lancashire.
Officers say they urgently need to locate Andzejs Rucs, from Skelmersdale, as they are concerned about his welfare. However they have also urged people not to approach him if they do sight him, asking them to call 999 instead.
The 21-year-old was last seen in Ennerdale at 4pm on Wednesday (January 8) having been reported missing earlier in the afternoon. Officers said he described as 5ft 10, of slim build and with dark brown hair.
Andzejs was last seen, he was wearing a blue t-shirt and a black short-sleeved gilet with a hood. A picture of Andzejs was shared on social media as part of an appeal.
In a statement issued last night, Skelmersdale Police said: “We are asking for your help to find Andzejs Rucs who is missing from Skelmersdale. Andzejs, 21, was last seen in Ennerdale, Skelmersdale, at 4pm today (8th January), having been reported missing earlier in the afternoon.
“We are concerned for his welfare. He is 5ft 10, slim build, with dark brown hair.
“When Andzejs was last seen, he was wearing a blue t-shirt and a black short-sleeved gilet with a hood. If you see Andzejs, we ask you not to approach him but to call 999.
“Any information as to where he might be, call 101 – quoting log 0492 of 8th January 2025 – or 01695 566160.”
