A man was “left covered in blood” after being attacked in a kebab shop in Cheltenham. Investigating officers from Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information on the assault from last Thursday, January 2. Officers have issued a description of the offender.
They were called to Cotswold Kebab on High Street at around 2.30am. It was reported that a man had kicked the victim while he was defenceless on the floor.
Although the victim had left before police arrived, eyewitnesses said he was covered in blood following the assault. A woman stepped in to protect him but she was also kicked repeatedly in the face. Police said she was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
The force are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. The offender was described as being a mixed heritage man with long curly hair.
Gloucestershire Police said: “As well as wanting to speak to the victim, officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or has CCTV/dashcam/mobile phone footage which they feel is relevant. Information can be provided to police online by completing the online form and quoting incident 16 of 2 January.”
