Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews ‘dodged bullet’ after ending ‘tricky’ situation

A relationship expert has suggested that the decision by Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews to split from their shared podcast venture might just be a blessing in disguise. Last week, Spencer made it public that after four successful years, he would step away from their self-titled show “to pursue other business interests” and to give his all to an upcoming triathlon challenge.

Sofie Roos, from Passionerad, commented on the split, highlighting how separating work and personal life could invigorate the couple’s relationship. She explained: “It’s always tricky mixing and switching between working roles and private roles as a couple.

“Now working apart from each other, I think they will enjoy their time as a couple even more.”

Sofie pointed out that not having to constantly differentiate between being partners and colleagues could conserve vital energy.

The therapist posited that while combining professional and personal lives can sometimes flourish, it often adds “extra pressure” to a relationship. “[People] don’t realise that the line between being co-workers and partners can slowly fade and can kill the love long-term,” she speculated, reports Dublin Live.

With these factors considered, leaving their joint podcast at its pinnacle may have helped them “dodged a bullet” regarding their relationship’s well-being. Moreover, Sofie believes that earning independently will enhance the quality of the time they spend together outside of work.

In addition to their individual work obligations, Spencer and Vogue, who tied the knot in 2018, balance raising their three kids: Theodore, five, Gigi, three, and Otto, two. When asked last year if they planned to expand their family, the 39 year old revealed that she and Spencer had differing opinions.

She shared with The Sun: “If I said, ‘Let’s go with it’ [Spencer] would do it straight away, but I think of the logistics, whereas he doesn’t. And he doesn’t have to carry a baby for nine months, so it’s a bit more of a decision for me. I’ll probably be still thinking about it when I’m 50!'” Sofie speculates that Vogue might be leaning towards keeping their family at three, possibly due to her age and Spencer’s new focus on his upcoming challenge.
