Police are continuing to investigate after a cyclist was seriously injured in a ‘hit and run’ collision. The rider, aged in his 20s, was badly hurt when he was struck by a silver BMW in Kings Heath.
He was taken to hospital, where he remained in a serious condition on Sunday, January 5. West Midlands Police said a 30-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The incident, which left the car involved “severely damaged”, took place at around 9.25pm on Brandwood Park Road.
