Witness appeal after fight breaks out on train

An investigation has begun into a fight which broke out on board a train. The incident took place on a service travelling from Cardiff Central railway station to Pontypridd.

British Transport Police says that the incident began as an argument between several passengers, which then progressed into a fight. It took place on October 12 last year at around 10.40pm.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fight on board a train from Cardiff Central railway station to Pontypridd. At around 10.40pm on October 12, an argument started between several passengers which progressed into a fight on board the train.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 700 of October 12.
