Woman transforms grimy grout to ‘gleaming white’ using affordable duo

There’s nothing more mortifying than guests asking to use the loo only to spot your grouting has seen better days. It’s enough to make anyone seriously embarrassed, no matter how good a mate they are, and it can spur you into a much-needed cleaning frenzy.

One savvy woman took her cleaning woes to TikTok, where she showed off her journey from filthy to sparkling grout. The user, @neatlycleaner, even admitted “how bad” her grout was before getting down to business with some long-overdue TLC for her grimy grout.

“Refresh my grout with me,” she invited her followers while highlighting the discoloured state of her bathroom grout. Armed with HG Grout Cleaner, a steal at just £3 from Morrisons, down from its usual £5, she set to work.

Her mission was simple: get that grout spotless before attempting any revival. She demonstrated her technique, vigorously scrubbing with the cleaner and a cloth.

The initial clean left her with grout free of dirt but still visually marred by an unattractive yellow tinge – not the look anyone’s after. But the transformation wasn’t complete without one final touch, she emphasised.

“And now going in with the grout reviver,” she shared next, showing off the transformative white gleam as she applied the wonder product.

“I’m sorry, but look at that difference; it’s so satisfying,” she couldn’t help but express her delight – and frankly, the results spoke for themselves. She diligently treated every inch of the grout, restoring it to a pristine white, thereby enhancing the whole appearance, complemented by the existing lustrous marble tiles.

She admitted “what a difference” the product made, even after just one attempt, adding, “I think going over this a couple of times will look so much better,”.

The UniBond grout reviver, which is available on Amazon for under £10, has received rave reviews from customers who’ve tried it.

One reviewer said: “Don’t bother with grout pens that are basically like tipex; this stuff actually works! I’ve just used this in my kitchen, and the grout looks brand new! Very impressed.”

Another wrote, “My god, it’s amazing how easy it is to apply with the sponge head on the tube; just squeeze lightly, and away you go, giving an excellent result. Brilliant white grout.”
