Woolwich revealed as Greenwich’s most used station of 2024

Data from On Time Trains has revealed how often stations across the UK were used, based on data on the average number of passengers who enter and exit the station every day.

We surveyed the data of Greenwich’s 13 train stations, managed by several services, to find out which stations were the most and least used in 2024.

According to the data, Woolwich was the most used station in the borough, with an average of 36,2666 visits a day in 2024.

Overall, Woolwich was ranked as the 219th best-performing out of 2,639 stations across the UK.

Last year, 61% of trains were recorded to be on time, with 2% of trains late by 10 minutes or more and 3% cancelled.

Woolwich station serves as part of the Elizabeth Line, with passengers able to travel to central London, Canary Wharf, and Heathrow Airport from the station.

By contrast, Greenwich’s least used train station of 2024 was Woolwich Dockyard, which had an average of 841 visitors a day last year.

Woolwich Dockyard is served by Southeastern trains, with passengers able to travel to central London, Greenwich, and Dartford from the station.

In 2024, 33% of its trains were recorded as being on time, with 48% delayed by 1-2 minutes and 2% of trains delayed by 10 minutes or more.
