Zara Tindall’s upbringing was notably distinct from other royals due to her involvement in a tradition that shaped her life significantly. Woman and Home reports that Zara and her brother Peter were afforded an exclusive opportunity throughout their childhood, unlike their Royal counterparts.
During an ITV interview, Mark Phillips and his offspring discussed the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne’s estate. Since its 1983 inception, this horse-riding festival has become a fixture within the UK’s eventing landscape, celebrating over 40 years.
Both Peter and Zara have attended each event since its start, with Zara becoming a celebrated British equestrian. Her achievements include triumph at the Under 25 Championship in Bramham, a silver medal at the European Young Riders Championship in 2002, and clinching silver in the 2012 London Olympics.

Taking up the reins as the event director, Peter Phillips reminisced, “I don’t remember a summer without the horse trials growing up.”
Meanwhile, Zara acknowledged the benefits of interacting with elite riders in her growth as a ‘horse person’, saying, “The top riders came and rode here. They were always walking the course,” reports the Express.
Zara Tindall has spoken about how she seizes the chance to converse with experts about their discipline, expressing: “As a horse person, I always try to get involved in the chats that my father is having with them.”
